Bursary Grants
A Proprietor’s Bursary may be granted to families who, due to personal circumstances, cannot afford the full fees. They can be awarded to either current or new students, and are not dependent on students sitting an examination. Bursaries are awarded for a set period of time only and are awarded at the discretion of the school.
Applications should be made to the Proprietor in writing via the online application below. You must include the following documentation:
Most recent school report
Recent photograph of student
Families of current students who may be considering submitting an application, are warmly invited to contact the Executive Principal to arrange an appointment in order to discuss their circumstances in confidence.
Applications should be supported with additional information including a copy of the student’s most recent school report. Consideration will be given to the all-round contribution that the student may have made or will make to school life at Whitby Collegiate. Therefore, we ask that you upload with your application any information which might be relevant. Please note that further information regarding financial circumstances may be requested at a later date.
Families of new students will be invited, following receipt of an application, to attend an interview with the Executive Principal, Ms Shelley Addison.
