School Fees

The Whitby Collegiate fees are based on a four-term year.

The Proprietor’s Board sets fees at a level which will allow the school to flourish, but that also responds to the flexibility which modern parents often require. The Proprietor’s Board reserves the right to vary fees at its discretion.

Please note the following fees information and schedule is for domestic students only. All fees are stated in New Zealand dollars and are inclusive of Goods and Services Tax of 15%.

Levies and Parents’ Association

These levies help ensure our school buildings, facilities, and amenities are well maintained, regularly updated, and expanded where needed. The cost of the annual school magazine is also included.

The Parents’ Association charge of $17.50 (incl. GST) per term, per student supports Parents’ Association activities and initiatives that benefit our school community.

Disbursements

Additional costs are charged for incidental items such as class trips, bus passes, sports activities, outdoor education and specialist subject costs. These are disbursed to your school account for payment. Disbursements are billed monthly and are due on the 20th of the month following the date of the invoice/statement.

Payment of Fees

Fees are billed quarterly. Fees are due before the start of each term. These are payable upon receipt of invoice, by regular automatic payment or annually in advance. Please be aware that late payments may incur a penalty fee. If you have any questions about school fees, please contact us on (04) 234 1070.

Sibling Discounts

A 20% discount on tuition fees is available for families for the third and youngest child when all are current students at Whitby Collegiate. A 10% discount for the second and youngest child will be available for families with two children at the school.

Early Payment Discount

For families who choose to pay annually in advance, the annual fees invoice includes both tuition fees and levies. A 3% discount applies to the tuition component only when the full invoice is paid by 19 January 2026.
